Hi all,
I have a question on this good cam.
some images of the camera differ for AF assist lamp (2 or 1) like:




can anyone help me to understand the differences?

The first question should be, which one of those openings in the body is the focus assist beam...the one near the viewfinder, or the one just above the lens beside the words "5.1 MEGAPIXEL".

But really that doesn't need to be answered as your question is moot...if you look at the ORIGINAL size of the Pbase 5060 picture, you can look into that second opening you're referring to...you can actually see that there's nothing behind the second opening except camera body (you can see the same paint surface):


Which one is the current version...unfortunately the Pbase picture doesn't say what the source of the picture is; did they own the camera and take the picture of it themselves, or is the picture from a source like Olympus.

Most likely the image at Steve's Digicams is an early model; camera companies usually send out early cameras, sometimes prototypes. I remember one Olympus camera that was reviewed where the ISO didn't go below 100, whereas the final production model had an ISO of 50 as well.

It only has one AF-assist lamp, the other thing is a passive AF sensor.
