I'm having a focus problem with my C4000. I have the camera set to iESP focus and many of my pictures turn out with the subject out of focus and the foregroud or background in focus. See the following pics:

http://groups.msn.com/TheSinnFamily/...mp;PhotoID=116
http://groups.msn.com/TheSinnFamily/...mp;PhotoID=112

In each case I focused on the subject (button half-way down) and re-framed before taking the pic. Focus was locked in each case (orange light on). In both pics the leaves are in sharp focus but the boy(s) are slightly out of focus. This happens quite often in many different situations.

My previous camera was a C2000 and I never had this problem. Suggestions?

Cheers!

Thanks fenlander. I just finished reading the "C4000z Focus Problem" collection of postings. Very informative.

Thanks for your help.

What collection of postings? Can you provide a link? I am learning to use my c4000 and have noticed certain focusing problems, perhaps they are addressed in the postings.

Thanks!

Go to this link:

It's a long read, funny at times, serious at times, but you'll learn alot about your camera.

Cheers!
