Default Wiggling Lens ???

Hi I have purchased a new c-4000 and it is fun to use. However, one thing is bothering me. That is the seemly wobbly lens. When the lens is in the "on" position (extended), it can be wiggled around a little. I have tried other c-4000s and it seems that all the c 4000 s I have operated have this wiggly lens. I have tried the Minolta 4 MP and some other makes of digital cameras and their lenses cannot be wiggled around as the the c4000 can be. Does this effect picture sharpness or over all picture quality in these cameras? Thanks :?

It's normal...all Oly C-series with this lens mechanism does this including cams in the C-7x0 series. Don't know about the D-Series though.
