Default SHOULD I BUY A 720

I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA. I WAS IN CIRCUIT CITY AND THEY WERE PITCHING THE 720. I PLAN ON USING IT FOR PICTURES TO PLACE ITEMS ON EBAY AND ALSO AS MY CAMERA TO USE WHEN ON VACATIONS. I ALSO PLAN ON BUYING A PHOTO PRINTER TO USE TO PRINT OUT THE PICTURES. HOW IS THIS CAMERA. I AM A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT IT HAS NO REMOTE. IS THERE ANYTHING OUT THERE IN THE 4-5 HUNDRED DOLLAR RANGE THAT IS AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER. ANY HELP GREATLY ACCEPTED. THANKS MARC. EMAIL: [email protected]

You may wish to take a look at the Olympus C-730UZ as well, just a little bit costlier than the C-720,
it scores on some features when compared to the 720, whereas most other features seem identical.
Below are the features that are better then the 720

10 x Zoom, Better Continuous Drive, SmartMedia & xD Picture Card Compatability.

hope this helps

(from a C-700 user's prospective who has played with the 730)

I also recommend the C730, it's the best C-7x0 camera yet...some features were dropped from the 720 that were on the 700.

Also the C730 has the best macro (closeup) in the bunch.

And yes, the C730 has an OPTIONAL shutter remote (you aim at the camera and push it, and then it activates a 2 second timer (vs the 12 second timer) and the picture is taken).

Oh, and please turn off the caps lock...it's hard to read a message that's in all caps (some people even avoid responding to such messages) and on the internet it's reserved for YELLING.
