Please post where your C-750 or C-755 was made. It seems some are made in Japan, some in China, and some in Korea.

Thanks.

By the way, the C-755 is now back to $399 at Outpost.com. It was $299 for quite a while. Strange.

Hi Nellybly

I am going to buy a same C-755 UZ sooner. I think all these types are made in Korea and one fellow told me that most of the Olympus are made in Korea or china. Is it true

Important: Please let me know if it is possible to change the menus to english in C-755 UZ

one of my friends in Japan told me C755 was made in Korea and just for sale in Japan, thanks to its menu only in Japanese version!

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"The price of C755 in Japan is about $220, maybe the best around the world. It's a bit wierd that almost all other types sold in Japan is more expensive than those sold in US.:blah:I am also wondering if the menu could be improved to an English version, any attempts you guys paid to it?

My Japanese C-755 will not accept any of the C-750 software updates that would change the language.
It can be sent to Olympus in Japan to have the language changed, but only from residents of Japan, since it is for the Japanese market only.
HTH,
NB
PS It really is not a problem, since many of the icons and abbreviations for the camera functions are the same.

I bought a new one from PC Pomber Tokyo for 25,000 yen. (Around 240US$). It is silver grey color. It is made in Japan
I bought it on COD and that sales guy originally told me that most of these models will be Korea. I said no problem but was surprised to see that it is made in Japan once I received that. The Olympus Customer support team told me that certain cameras are made in Korea and few in Japan.

Welcome to the club of owners of the Oly C-755 Japanese natively Pictbridge version!
I saw your post about :
>2. I set the picture quality to 1600 x 1200 pixels. But when every time I >turn off and turn on the camera it is reset to HQ (2288 x 1712). Any work >around?
I cannot tell you how to do it, but there will be an "All Reset" option that you can uncheck, to keep your settings from changing when you power the camera off. Hopefully Norm from Fujino will chime in here, and enlighten us both!
