I was getting rather concerned when my old camera had a few burnt out pixels. Now I come back to the states to find the camera I bought for my father a year ago has hundereds of pixels that show in long exposure shots! What gives? Will the mapping option repair this, or just "fix" it? I tried warming it up by shooting several sequential shots, but no difference. It can't take a nightscape shot the C-2100 will routinely do! Please help before I try to figure out if they will warranty the camera.
