Got a great deal on a C-8080, looking for accessories. First question: not all digicams can take advantage of CF cards with faster write times. Can the C-8080? What speed is recommended? 14x?

Has anybody purchased non-OEM replacements for the BLM-1 battery? Advice?

Thanks.

I just got my 8080 and have ordered one from 7DayShop.com but it hasn't arrived yet. Fraction of the cost of the original battery:-). Will let you know how it fares.

I bought a TARGUS camera bag, Model # DBRV01, small, compact, has lower compartment for carrying the charger and cord. I use PROMASTER batteries, no problems. Also went to a PROMASTER strap, latches enable me to remove the strap when shooting panos and working on a copy stand.

1Gb SanDisk Ultra (got a great deal, so why not?). Purchased a 7.4V 1400mA replacement for the BLM-1 one-Bay for $5.49, presumably the same battery that Alfred Molon tested on his 8080 resource page. Probably has half the actual capacityand half the life-expectancy ofthe original, but you get what you pay for.

Just got the OL T-CON 1.4x telephoto adapter lens from 17th st. Photo. Incredibly prompt service (and no high pressure follow up calls). Just placed the order online and next day it shipped
