Default date/time stamp for D40-zoom

I just read another post re: how do you get the date/time stamp to appear in your photos however it seemed that this was not possible using the camera.

I have searched the web and in all of the product spec overviews, it mentions that the D40-zoom does in fact have date/time stamp capabilities..

Can anyone tell me how I turn this feature on? (if it is possible)
Thanks,
MG

I don't know if any Oly camera can do it on the picture, but every JPG and TIFF taken by the Oly has a timestamp within the file. This is called the Exif standard, and it not only has the time and date but lots of other features like shutter speed, aperture opening, focal length, etc...you just need an Exif reader.

You can do it with the Camedia software.
Select the insert text option in the edit
window. It maybe slow, but it can be done.
