Default Will a C4040 work for my wife as well as her C3000 did

Im looking for people who have owned the C3000 and the C4040. I bought myself a Minolta Dimage 7I and I like it and can work with it just fine but my wife hates it. Anyway I had given away our old C3000 when we got the new camera and she misses it. So my question is if she liked the c3000 will she be happy with a c4040. Will it work well for her in full auto mode and have the same feel as the c3000 or should I just find her another C3000.

I bought the C4040 and kept my C3000. The C4040 has better optics than the C3000 but they both take great pictures. The menu setup is a little different than the C3000 but will not take long to adapt. I am very statisfied with the C4040. I will be donating my C3000 soon.

If you liked the C3000, you should like the C4040 even more. I upgraded from a C3030 to a C4040 and find the C4040 a much better camera. In particular, the menus are MUCH easier to navigate, and the 1.8 lens is great for low-light situations. And with 4MP you get great 8x10s.

You can purchase on line for around $500 from a reliable dealer. Check www.dealtime.com for prices. Also check www.pricescan.com. They have ratings on the vendors. The C4040 is a great camera.

Consider the C-4000 too. Even better image quality (to my eyes), less expensive, and generally just as capable. Worth a look.

Sanpete is correct with the C4000 suggestion. It has very similar Optics as the C3000. The C4040 has one of the best low light lens in compact digital series (see Steve's reviews). The C4000 also has a super macro mode that is highly rated.

The C4000 dosen't record sound in it's movies as did the c3000. This is a feature my wife wouldn't want to give up. I have been looking around at the prices for the C4040. It seems to be around $540.00 from someone who dosen't want to try to sell me a $300.00 128meg card as part of a package. Anybody know of a good place that dosen't play games that is cheeper for a new camera with USA warrenty(also outside NY state is better for tax purposes).

One of my coworkers bought from this web site and he did not have to buy the kitchen sink. http://www.buydig.com/cgi-local/shop...Z&adv=dealtime.
