I'd like to set my 770 on a tripod and take several shots of a skier passing by so that 3 or 4 images of the person appear on one image. I can do it with Photoshop after taking sequential pictures but it's cumbersome and the results don't look that good with my limited ability.

Is there a function of the 770 that allows me to take multiple exposures like I used to be able to do on my film camera?

Another question. When shooting sequential shots of moving action, I lose sight of the subject through the viewfinder each time the shot writes to disk. My old D-490 was easier to use because it wasn't "through-the-lens". Is there anyway to avoid this problem?

Much obliged!

post-processing only, no such in-camera capability

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the prompt response!
