I love my new c-8080. I just bought the teleconverter lens and the required CLA-8 adapter ring. The problem is the lens instructions refer to the CLA-8 instructions on how to remove the lens ring from the camera and attach the CLA-8. The CLA-8 came with NO instructions. I'm surethe lens ring just unscrews but I'd appreciate some confirmation on this before I start torquing away. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

okay, thanks. It's really on tight. Sorry if I sound like a boob, but counter clockwise correct? And thanks again.

I had this same problem at first. You're actually trying too hard... grip the ring from the outer edge (away from the body of the camera) and twist without putting down pressure on the ring. It will come off. This is true for taking off the adapter as well.
