I can't wait to see a review. I have noticed discrepancies in the specs on various sites. Can't wait to get the real facts!

Site dcresource.com plans to post sample photos this weekend.
I can't wait to see what this camera can do.

I've noticed too that Olympus America and Olympus Europa don't report the same specifications for c-5500/c-55.

Specs on Olympus Europa's site looks a bit more attractive.

Found a review here:

http://makeashorterlink.com/?A2DF35A9A

This camera really seems to be as large, or larger than the C-7XX series.
Thanks for the heads-up on the DC Resource sample pics!

This looks like a great price for all the features, and presumably a C7000 lens.

Can't wait to see a review...anyone??? The other "Review" is more of a laundry list of features, but nothing on pictures or performance yet.

Just ordered one yesterday, thank you olympus discount for resellers! Only $260. I will have it in 3 to 8 days so I will let you know how it is. It will be my first camera, but atleast I can tell you the real specs.

Looking forward to your report, but in the mean time, I found the original digital Oly Sports Zoom, the E-100RS, at a reasonable price, so I ordered it!
15 frames per second shooting, 640x480 30fps movie mode... in 2001!
Keep us posted on the C-5500. Hopefully a step forward for Olympus?

Okay, I have it in my hands now. The UK specs are right lowest iso is 80, fastest shutter speed is 1/2000! Sorry its my first camera so I don't really know all that much, if you have specific questions I'd be more than happy to find it out.

Hi Graben!
Glad you got the camera! I was just wondering about the size of the camera, as the specs on different sites had it varying by more than an inch? I would like to think that it would be smaller than the C-740-750, as the zoom is less, and the lens retracts into the body?
Thanks,
NB
