Hi!

I'm trying to manipulate an Olympus C5050Z using the Olympus SDK.

What I found out is that the SDK doesn't have an option to export ORF files.

I can only save in TIFF or JPEG format.

Looking around I found this forum and I used the OlyRaw program.

It's a very interesting hack for Olympus cameras!!

But...

As I realize the file that the camera exports is the true binary information from the CCD Imager.

Although I know the dimensions of the image, does anyone know how (meaning the format) with which I can load the data into an array?

I have found the possible imager that the camera uses. There are multiple options of image dimensions (the manufacturer of the camera doesn't use the full surface of the imager for image quality reason (and optical problems).

Olympus doesn't announce the ORF format.

On the other hand there are programs like Raw2Orf http://olympus.ourlife.ru/soft.shtml

Does anyone know how I can transfer ORF files using the SDK?

I have fixed my Olympus C-750 with Olyraw and that works just perfect.

Thank you very much for providing this great posability!

I am a little clumpsy with computers sometime so i have to admit i have not been able to convert the raw .jpg into a ordinary .jpg, just yet.

Do i have to convert with "olyraw2nef.exe" or can i use any other application to convert my raw image to an ordinary one?

Best Regards,

Chotie

There is a problem with archive, I cannot decompress it, it's probably damaged, I downloaded it cca 3-times. I activated raw mode (OlyC765) with previous version but I cannot deactivate it now. Can you upload correct version? THANKS

Any new updates on this thread? How is the olyraw working out? Any news would be welcome as I have recently bought a C770 and plan on getting RAW formats. Any advice for me?

TIA

Hello!
RawEnabler works O.K. on Oly C770UZ!
But....
is there any way to port olyraw2nef to MacOS X platform, or is there *NIX alternative to it???
That would be cool (it is not so handy to run it inside VirtualPC).

regards
Andrej

You can compile it yourself, original *.cpp sources included: http://lexand.h15.ru/files/olyraw2nef_full.zip
Or it isn't ANSI?

Huh...!
olyraw2nef.cpp defines in the very first line windows.h....
Other .cpp compiles (with minor tweaking(removing exception handling)), but olyraw2nef.cpp is too hard to crack :? (since I'm not a programer).

Any help appreciated!
