I have been searching for about a month for a new Camera to replace an old 3 Meg Panasonic. I was going to buy a Canon A95 and I came accross this little toy which has a little more optical soon and it is compact enough to carry around. I find the Prosumer Cameras to be a little too bulky to carry around. I noticed Olympus came out with another model the C5500 which offers a 5x optical, but it is a little bigger than the C-7000. The price seems to be reasonable at $430 plus there is a $100 rebate. My priorities are:

Excellent picture quality, some manual options, and a little speed from shot to shot. I really would love any advice on this. Thanks

Olympus c-7000 is a great camera and a bit of a sleeper. Check out this site and scroll down to this model: http://www.imaging-resource.com/WB/WB.HTM?view=6
