Default 5050 pics

these are my first pics with my 5050. the weekend was overcast and really cold: somewhere in these forums i stated the problem of using electronic cameras in real cold; one thing i was reminded this weekend, is the uselesness of good looking, tiny buttons and levers on compact cameras when wearing gloves. And don't say take them off until you are out at -25 celcius for an hour or so!!!
Generally, i tried to take photos under non-ideal conditions, especially hand-holding the camera to test the fast 1.8 lens. They were all handheld, with the one of the twigs on macro mode.
Overall, i do not have a conclusive opinion on the camera, except -to my surprise- that the autofocus kept on being fooled more often than not.
Anyway, this is for your viewing, and see what you think. I will post better photos once the weather gets a tad friendlier and i have some sufficient time.

Geof

Thanks for the pics. Nice color in pic 2. You need to stop laying down on the subway floor to take pics.

Thanks again

Phil

Geof

That lcd panel looks very nice. One of those features you never realized you needed it until you have it.

more 5050 shots. I have so far been very impressed by the night mode. he new algorithms are excellent; and the fast 1.8 lens is a dream. So far it feels like the right camera choice.
