Yes the Pro1850 will cause vigneting at wide angle settings. I can zoom to half way and the vigneting is not a problem. I have posted some telephoto shots at www.pbase.com/gibsonpd click on the tele photo shots album.
The link doesn't work. Looking forward to the right URL. Thanks.

Hi all. I'm using the CLA-1, 43-52mm step up ring, and a Hoya 52mm UV filter . I've not noticed any vignetting when the lens is set to wideangle. Hth.

I'm afraid I'm a bit confused now. I went to the Tiffen website, but couldn't find any such product for the C5050Z. What is the Tiffen part number please? And is it really that much superior to the Oly CL1A?

I have both the Tiffn 41 to 43mm and a 41 to 52mm. If you are going to use it for lens protection get the tiffen 41 to 43. It cost $10 at circuit city. You can also pick up 2 protective filter lens from tiffen for $20.00 at Circuit City. Part number for Lens mount:
Tiffen PN#00203
Part number for Filter kit:
Tiffen PN#02002

The main reason I like the Tiffen is it's small and compact. The 41 to 52 is huge and bulkey. Simple as that.

I would go for the Olympus CLA-1 if at all possible. The Olympus seems to have less vegenetting (spelling) than the Tiffen one. I have both. The only problem you will have with the olympus is that it may crash your lens due to it being a little shorter than the Tiffen. A simple step up ring or ring spacer should fix it. www.2filter.com has a olympus package that comes with a lens adapter, spacer, UV, lens cap and clearner for $29.99. Check it out.
