I have the C720 and have sued Ray0O-Vac and other NiMh batteries for 2 years. A co-worker recently bought a C740 and read that only NiMh batteries with insulated - terminals could be used. This doesn't make any sense to me.

Hello Cope!

I have a 740 and have used Duracell nimh batteries since day one with great results. I have gotten 300 photos on a fully charged set of 2300 mah batteries.

Bob, Thanks for the reply. Same here, but his manual's warning has me puzzled. I am going to look at it myself.
