Salut bonhomme!

I liked your photos--they were sharp, in focus, and I thought the pictures turned out well (I'm just an amateur myself). I especially liked the last photo--I thought the reflections gently rippling on water surface was very nice.

Wait until you start taking photos of sunsets/sunrises, night scenes, macro close-up of flowers, etc.! You'll be very pleasantly surprised with this camera's capabilities.

Bonne chance!

Hyun,

What settings do you use for your sunrise/sunset pics using the C-4000?

Hi Ted,

I'm not sure if you are asking in general or if you happened to have visited my PBase page and seen my sunset pictures, but here it goes.

I have yet to take any of those pictures with the C-4000, which I've only had for three days. I would probably first start out with Program Auto mode and take a few shots and see how they turn out and go from there. Still learning how to use the camera, but loving it.

On my PBase page, there are some sunset shots I took with my "old" camera, the Olympus D-550Z (you can see them at the link in my signature). Those I took again in Program Auto mode, and I think they turned out quite well. The images have EXIF info in them (the best one has the following: f/5.6, 1/320 sec., ISO 60 (equivalent), no flash, focal length 6mm--these were all selected by the camera, since the D-550 does not have any manual controls).
