Default Help with camera purchase.

Having a problem with picking my new camera. Down to 2 models.
Olympus 5050 and the Canon Pro 90 IS. Except for holiday and family stuff the camera will be used 99% of the time for outdoor shooting of my son's Cross Country and Track team. The corss country season starts pretty bright and sunny in September but can end up pretty dreary and cloudy in late November. Track season is just the opposite in the spring, goes from dreary late winter to nice and sunny in May. The 5050 seems like it would be a better all around camera for indoor shooting etc, but has no zoom. The 90 IS would seem to be perfect for what I need as far as shooting the kids running and such but I have heard I will give up some lense speed with the zoom. Hoping someone could give me the plus and minus' of each camera for my personal situation.
Thank you

Get the Canon, yer need zoom to get close to the action. You'll probably lose an F stop (maybe less). You can always use a higher ISO speed if needed. The noise can be largely removed later.
