great shots!

I have a c-3040...4 year old 3mp (first to use their 1.8 lens) and I am thinking about the 7070 or 8080...BUT...how does yours work in low room light...I'm spoiled by my camera..it focuses in every kind of situation you throw at it

Greg,¬* I haven't done much low light experimenting, at least just some trial and error with the flash modes and some w/o.¬* There's a lot to cover with this camera.¬* So far tho-,¬* I like the images.¬* Very sharp and realistic.¬* I posted a pic of an old Ford p.u. here and the colors were dead on.¬* And without any post processing.¬* ¬*The reason I bought the 7070 was for exactly that;¬* the image quality.¬* ¬*I have a few postings at the Panasonic Forum with my FZ20, and on the Sony Forum "Post Your W1 Photo's Here",¬* and in comparison, the other cameras pale in image quality.¬* My only wish is that the Olympus were a bit quicker in reviewing pictures.¬* But I can live with that.¬* The moveable LCD is especially nice and one more thing, the price.¬* I couldn't pass it up.Dick

that pic on the streets of sweden during the day sold me on the camera...great detail without any noise and great colors....even if it was cloudy (that's sweden, I guess)

I just want to make sure I am upgrading from mine in all areas...it seems like so many cameras (like the dimage a200, whichWAS on my list) are not good in low room light or don't come with a remote (like any from fuji, kodak or panasonic). I have the remote from my 3040. Or the pics aren't that much better than mine...the city shot looked about as good to me as a digital rebel pic...costing far more

I have narrowed it down to three and just have to see where my budget is over the next few weeks or couple of months

c-7070, c-8080 (and get that 140mm lens) or splurge for the older digital rebel as I can get a longer lens later

although the price of the 7070 has the lead with my tightbudget

thanks for your help

Gregg but where's the pic of the smorgasborg?

Greg, I posted a shot of a local festival on the Panasonic Forum, "Serb Hall".¬* See if the Fz20 w/ O.I.S may suit your needs.¬* Actually, I like the 7070's better.¬* ¬*Dick¬*
