Default New E-series or SLR?

Whatta ya think?
Is Olympus going to introduce a new E series camera, or will they consentrate their efforts on the new 4/3 format with Fuji? Should they?

I doubt Olympus will release an updated E series camera, most likely all their efforts are concentrated on the 4/3 format right now. But perhaps Olympus will name this new DSLR "E1" or something like that? :P

In speaking with an Olympus rep at the Las Vegas CES (albeit he was young, opinionated and TOTALLY unconcerned with the customer's needs/desires) he indicated that Olympus is not interested in bringing a 4/3 format camera to market.

It sounded like they are working on a camera very close to the current E-10/20 series that may have interchangeable lenses.

He was also quite clear that Olympus has no plans to create a digital body that would be compatible with their legendary Zuiko OM series lenses.

IN MY OPINION... Olympus has already abandoned the upper level photographic market. Unfortunately for Olympus, I believe my next purchase will be my first Non-Olympus camera in over 30 years.

They do not value customer loyalty.
