Default LCD covers

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of LCD hoods/protectors etc for the 5050?
The hoodman version does not work well with it and i do not like the fact that it does not fold- i have to take it off to put the camera in the bag.
thanks in advance.

I am also looking for a quality LCD hood for the C5050.

There is one listed on the Japanese Olympus website:-

As I am in the U.K. I have just emailed Olympus U.K. to see whether they stock it.

You know what? thats the best cover I have seen so far. It figures its in japan, since thats the only place with a descent camera bag for the 5050. Take a look:

I purchased a $3 35mm slide viewer. Cut off the light diffuser and padded the cut end. Hold this up to the LCD screen and you have a lenshood magnifier. You can place velcro on the viewer and on the edges of the LCD and it is on and off in a juffy.

Are you trying to protect the lcd from scratches? I noticed first thing with my new 5050 that the lcd was going to be vulnerable to scratching and "faceprints". My brother has some sort of plastic sheeting he bought for his palm pilot's screen. It just sticks to the lcd like a cling film. I'm going to use a left over piece on my lcd and the little display on top of the camera too.

This is not for glare but it will protect your screen on your C-5050.I use this on my C-5050.Only ten bucks and you get four of each,1.5",1.7",1.8",2.0",2.2".
