Default c-4000 or c-730?

I'm looking to buy a new camera, which camera do you think is better? Is there a big difference between 3megapixel and 4 megapixel ? Thanks Quest

The big difference between these two cameras is the zoom. The 730 has a 10X zoom vs the 4000's 3x zoom. When you zoom to 10 X you will need very steady hands or a tripod. The quality of photo between the 3 and 4 mp will not be apparent. If you need to reach out and take those long zooms go with the 730, if not the 4000 may be the better buy.

I would go for the C-4000Z. Its about $100.00 less than the C-730, and aside from the 10x zoom of the C-730 everything elses is the same. If you aren't too concern about the Zoom, then the C-4000Z is a great buy, if zoom is more to your liking, then I would look into the C-2100UZ instead. Its about the same pixel as the C-730 and it has a 10x zoom image stablizer, which I believe the C-730 does not. You can purcahse the the C-2100 much cheaper as well, have seen it online for $399.00 (refurb).

Actually, the 2100 is only 2mp while the C-730 is 3mp. Yes the C-7x0 cameras don't have the image stabilizer. Once you have a camera with a long zoom, you miss it if you only use a short zoom camera.

Oops!!! My bad. Yes the 2100uz is 2.0 MP, but isn't amazing how great the photos look taken with the 2100UZ?

I've seen some pictures taken with the C-700 that blow away what most people take with the C-2100...just because an instrument is a Stradivarius doesn't mean anyone can make beautiful music with it, it's all in the hands of the user...check out these C-700 pictures:
