I have had this camera for 3 years, love it. Lately when I have been in a very lighted gym taking pics, I had to turn off the flash..All pics were very blurry, almost like they can not focus. Then at a night football game, I had to turn off the flash, same thing, all blurry pics. Anyone else have this problem? I went thru the camera book, nothing on blurry or not focusing on pics. Thanks for any help!

ccnwater-

There is nothing at all the matter with your Stylus 300 digital camera. It was just performing normally based upon its stored onboard programing. The early Stylus models, including your Stylus 300, did not have an adjustable ISO setting.

When you are taking photos where the lighting conditions are less than those found in normal daylight, such as the night football game, or the well lighted gymnasium, the ISO (similiar to film speed) must be increased so that a shutter speed is fast enough so that the photo can be taken while the Stylus 300 is handheld.

The Stylus 300 CANNOT increase the ISO setting, it is fixed. Therefore, when you took the recent footbal and gym shots, you had a very low shutter speed, and at that selected shutter speed,it was impossible to get sharp photo, due to the very slowshutter speed selected by your Stylus 300.

I believe that you will most probably find thatyour camera works perfectly when taking photos under normal daylight conditions.

Ultra, thank you so much. My camera does take awesome pics normally..Just seemed odd that I just recently ran into this problem, so did not know if I should upgrade Which I most likely will soon. I do love the stylus! Thanks again.
