Hmm, I don't believe so. The largest Olympus-made telephoto lens I've seen is the B-300, which I think is a 1.7x lens. It's supposed to be fantastic, but sadly it's out of production and commands high prices on eBay.

I've just checked the Olympus website, and the only current telephoto lens they offer is a 1.45x converter.

Here's something I don't get, from their blurb:

Quote:
"Note: Not ideal for using with zoom due to vignetting (darkening) on the frame of image. "
Huh? The only reason I'd want to get a telephoto lens is to achieve maximum zoom. My admittedly limited experience in this area (with a Tiffen 2x lens) has shown that the only way to avoid vignetting with a telephoto lens is to zoom out to maximum.

Any Olympus 1.45x telephoto users here who can shed some light on this?

they are talking about being at the wide end of the zoom. I have the tiffen 2X you have, and you can see the vignetting at the wide angle set.
I wonder is i can find a second tele to add to the tiffen...But the quality would degrade quite a bit. I already find the tiffen "lacking" on my 5050 wherea it did not on my 3000.

Here's a site of a C-2100 user with a Sigma 5x teleconverter just to show what can be done:
