Nice pics Hyun!! Can you give some pointers on how to take great sunset photos? What exposure settings do you use, and do you use a tripod?

Hi gmlasam,

Thanks for your kind words. Would you believe it, I always use Program Auto mode for my sunset shots. On rare occasions I'll play around with EV values (usually not more than +/- 0.7) to achieve the look I want.

I don't use tripod--I've found that pointing the camera towards the setting sun usually gives enough light so that the shutter speed is sufficiently fast enough (all faster than 1/100 sec., some are 1/800 sec.).

Lately I've been playing around with adjusting contrast and sharpness settings in the C-4000, but I think most of the sunset shots on the website were taken with 0/0/0 contrast/sharpness/saturation. The EXIF data with each picture will give full information on settings used.
