Here are the links.

C-750:

They are both 10x (according to Amazon.com), with 740 having 3mp and 750 having 4mp. Prices are $499 and $599, respectively. At that price, probably neither are image stablized--but I may be wrong. Isn't the upcoming Panasonic FZ-1 12x optical with IS for under $500? But then that's a 2mp camera with nary a manual option.

April release date for the 740 and May release date for the 750. No technical details of any kind whatsoever on Amazon.com website.

... and nothing about them on the Olympus America website. But I imagine that'll change pretty soon, what with the PMA coming up in a few days.

Oly NOW has the 740 and 750 on their website...they both now have two strap points (for a proper SLR strap), glass lenses, and the 750 has a hotshoe...only wish would be for a focus assist beam (c'mon Oly, you have it on the 5050, why not the 700 series of cameras).

A couple of interesting notes... Olympus website mentions FL-20 along with FL-40 as being compatible with the C-750 camera. Hopefully the FL-20 will be a cheaper (and less capable, to be sure) sibling to the -40. I mean, FL-40 is superb and all, but $300+ for a flash! A bit much for hobbyists and casual users.

Sequence mode of 2.6fps up to 12 imges in HQ mode (approx. 4.5 seconds of shooting) is very nice. I don't know what the C-730 and C-2100UZ "film" transport speed (in terms of fps) is, but 2.6fps is entirely respectable for a consumer digital camera.

No image stabilization, but maybe Canon doesn't want to share that technology anymore (the IS in C-2100UZ was licensed from Canon).

F/2.8 at wide angle is pretty good for low-light shooting, but I think I saw f/3.8 for telephoto--that would be somewhat limiting in indoors, zoomed shooting.

As a mostly point and click c2100 user who wants more than 2mp for printing would the c-750 be a step up.

I use zoom a lot so no IS is a worry

Will the B300 fit I wonder? seems to be 59mm ?
