Wanted to know if anyone using this camera has experienced a shutter lag. A managerof a well knownLos Angeles AreaPhotographyStore has indicated that there is a 1-1.5 second delay between thepushing of the shutter button and the actualshutter tripping.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated...Darryl

See Steve's new review posted on this web site. He states..."The all important shutter lag (the time between pressing the shutter release and actually capturing the image) measured 1/10 of a second when pre-focused and 4/10 of a second including autofocus." http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/sp500.html

I'm not sure how Steve measures it, but my personal experience would agree more with the guy at the camera store. I have been disappointed with the length of lag, not much better than my Fuji A205

Button to picture time stinks - motion shots are a real hit or miss (mostly misses).
