Default NEED HELP w/ purchasing a Wide lens for an OLYMPUS C-3020

Hi! I am new here and have a question. I am really wanting to get into photography. I am looking into classes at the New York Institute of Photography. I currently have an Olympus C-3020 and was looking for a wide lens for it to take close ups. Can anyone help me. I can't afford to purchase a "professional" camera right now until I learn more so I thought if I bought a better lens I could practice. I have been looking on Ebay and other sites but I don't really know what I need.

THANKS!

Dawn, you're question is a little confusing...a wide angle lens isn't for closeups. A wide angle lens is for taking landscape shots, for instance http://members.aol.com/pixbydg/waweb/wa.html is a page showing various wide angle converters on the C-2100.

For real closeup work you want a closeup converter which are usually numbered +1, +2, +4, etc. Although the 3020 can get as close as 8" in macro mode without them, these can let you get closer.
