Default external flash olympus E10

I wish to buy an external flash for my E10 but am confused regarding choice. The FL-40 is soooo expensive. I am lazy and like to produce good pictures without too much stuffing around - so worried may buy cheap flash that cannot do the job or not very well (and easily)
Do i have to pay all this money to get good and relativley easy results??

The FL-40 is the perfect mate for Olys. The flash is TTL compatable (talks back and forth with the camera), has a focus assist beam, and is very powerful. It has a motorized zoom which zooms with the camera. There's a new FL-20, but it has a lot less features and not as powerful.

There are third party flashes like Metz, and Promaster (US) that are TTL compatable, but if you want easy results the FL-40 is the way to go.
