Default Olympus Stylus 300 Sample Photo

You guys look out! I finally figured out how this photo posting thing works!

Here is a snapshot from my ski trip to Lake Tahoe with my new Olympus Stylus 300. I love it! Thanks to all of you for the help in my decision. The best advice on the camera size issue I received was,"if it's too big to take with you everywhere, you'll miss a lot of shots!" The size is perfect!

I have several more photos from this trip in the "Landscape Photos" section of Steve's forum.

Have fun and thanks for any input!

If you want to have friends here, only post pictures 150K or less (by increasing JPEG compression)...or post your pics on a site like Pbase where the viewer can choose which size (and filesize) to view...1/2 meg is too large (and SLOW).

Thanks Mike. Sorry about that. I just spent several hours posting this stuff only to find out about the conflicts with ImageStation and the file size. I will go into my posts and remove the images and replace them once I get a pbase account set up.

Thanks again!

Hey Mike...

I don't want to tie up this thread with photo posting questions, but is there a way to use the Img feature with pbase, or do you have to always use the URL? I tried it and the dreaded "little red X" comes up.

I found out the hard way that Sony ImageStation won't allow this feature. It worked perfectly in the preview mode, but then it wouldn't retrieve the photos after I posted.

Thanks,

Dawgcatcher,

I wrote a long answer on this point recently that I won't repeat. Take a look under 'Landscape photos' in the thread 'Chinese gardens'.

Dawgcatcher

Are those photos from the Lake Tahoe area?

Spent a week there several years ago during early October. It is a beautiful place to visit.

fenlander:

Thanks for your concise instructions. I think I have finally got a handle on the photo posting thing.

Are my posts working as they should now?

I'm not sure this is working right yet...

But I know the URL link is working better.

Thanks again, this is fun.
