Default D650 has a 2x3 ratio image size?? (Oooops, corrected )

The review at Steve's site says that the new Olympus D560 has

"Variety of image sizes including the 3:2 aspect mode for "perfect size" 4x6" prints "

I bought the camera based on this item and I am unable to find it in the manual or in the camera.

Does such a feature exist? If so, can someone kindly point me to it?

Many thanks

I don't know how to access this on the D560, but maybe it's similar to my Oly C4000Z...

Go to menu...picture...Still Picture Record Mode (funny little icon)...then select the modes (i.e. TIFF, SHQ, HQ, etc.)

In the C4000, there are choices for TIFF, SHQ, and HQ that are labeled "3:2"...basically, I think that all they do is block out part of your pixels on the sensor...change your 2288x1712 pixels to 2288x1520.

Hope that helps...if it doesn't, look in your manual under "Record Modes"....Good Luck.

Thanks, but the C4000 had very different menus. (I have one too.)

The book is without any reference to the 2:3 ratio feature in spite of what Steve's review mentioned.

I'd like to know where the reviewer found this information.

I think it was a mistake. (As was my purchase of this camera for that feature.)

I checked out the manual at the Olympus site...I think you may be right.
