Hey Steve's DigiCams Forum Members,

My cousin has this Olympus FE-150 digital camera, and well the past few days, when she video records from her camera, it plays okay on the camera,

But when we transfer it to the computer, the video freezes every 3 seconds, and the audio is not there,

The video clip format is Quicktime's MOV,

The programs she has installed on her computer, are:
  • The latest Direct X[/*]
  • Quicktime's 7.1 version[/*]
  • Olympus Master software[/*]
  • Latest DivX codec[/*]
I just wish to know if its a digital camera problem, coz on the camera they play totally perfect, just on the computer they are just not working properly.

So can you please reply back with some help & advice please,

Thanks in advance,

Shaun

Thanks for your help FX,

I did download quicktime alternative, and it still didn't work ....

I tried that several times before you told me about it,

But the clips still keep freezing every 2 seconds, and no sound,

But another strange thing, is that when I installed Video LAN player, it plays the sound perfect, just no picture ....

Don't know why each reply you want people to send you an email, while you can just post it over here lol

I found out the problem, I just needed to have an old quicktime player version to make them work, they have to be 6.5.2 or 6.5.3

Olympus themselves emailed me.

I have tried downloading an old version of Quicktime and the problem has fixed itself, however my itunes does not run using an old version of quicktime.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I can view my video with Audio?

Many thanks

Thats the thing, you gotta stay with the old quicktime, and no itunes,

You might be able to find an old version of itunes maybe ....

But thats the f**k up about it ...

You gotta stick with the old quicktime version just to play your vids ....
