Default Aiptek Digital Camera DZO-V58N

Hi. I have a Aiptek Digital Camera DZO-V58N. I use it to capture images of cars I sell and motorcycle adventures. It has been adequate so far. When my skill improves, I'll upgrade. Until then, the camera probably outperforms the operator's abilities!

I seem to have a recent development with the camera and the shutter speed. Maybe shutter speed is the wrong reference. When I "click" the shutter button, it seems to take about 2 seconds for the image to be captured, and the camera ready to shoot again. This seems to be new development, as I don't recall having to wait so long before taking the next image. Once I click the shutter button, it takes about f o r e v e r to be ready to take the next shot. If I click on a slow moving object, the moving object can move out of the frame before the image is captured.

Is there a setting on this camera to set the image capturing speed?
