This was the first camera I wanted to buy, but my wife got impatient and instead bought the Jazz HDV178 at walmart.

From the looks and brief view on the tech.spec sheet, you get quite something for only $50 more!
most go around $145, looks like it has everything better but a few things I noted:

To get the right battery is quite confusing.
Fujifilm sells NP 40 batteries which hold a charge of 3,7V; 720mAh (very small).
Casio also has a battery it calls NP 40. This one holds a charge of 3,7V; 1200mAh (nearly double and more than the Jazz HDV178 !.
The question would be if both batteries are interchangable (ie have same size).

The we
bsite http://www.svp-tech.com/t200/t200.htm (SVP-tech dot com) does not reveal lots of data about the battery.

Another item might be it looks more sophisticated than the Jazz.
In other words,break faster too.

And the mic is located at the back, good for the cameraman who's filming behind the camera, but not good for self shots like much done on YouTube these days!

Seems to me like a hot selling cake!
