This post covers a variety of categories throughout the month of January so "other" seems appropriate. All shot on a variety of cameras and lenses.
1. This is the sunrise on the new decade. Hopefully a decade that will allow me to get out and shoot more. ![]() 2. Tidepools at a January minus tide. ![]() 3. A trip to the zoo with grandkids. ![]() 4. Another winter trip through the southwest. Cant beat the weather out there. Had to use a fisheye to get the whole flagpole in the shot. ![]() 5. Window into the southwest. ![]() 6. Out to pasture. Not only are the cows out on the pastures of the southwest but so are many old airplanes and broken dreams as you will see. ![]() 7. Old retired Airliners out to pasture. ![]() 8. TWA? I remember. ![]() 9. Broken dreams. We found a ghost town near us that consisted of several buildings. I have a special appreciation for these places. Not only do I feel that they make great photo opportunities but I wonder about what used to be and how this happened. Pink room. ![]() 10. Bathroom ![]() 11. Bedroom ![]() 12. The piano. What happened? ![]() Thanks for looking.

G'day Mike
Thanks for offering us a great view into your 'new year' Old aeroplanes and old buildings and an old piano - all reminders of where we are now I am intreagued about the flagpole shot ... I didn't know that anywhere in the US was below sea level, never mind 180-or so feet below ... but I suppose that all over the planet there are pockets of dry land that are below sea level A good collection - thankx for showing us what you've been up to lately Phil

Thanks for your reply Phil.
I going to try to check in more frequently this year. There is another area in Death Valley California about 200 miles north of Calipatria that is even lower than the flagpole. Badwater basin 282 ft or 86 m below sea level. And less then a hundred miles away from Badwater is the highest place in the 48 states, Mt. Whitney.
