Trying out New Lens

I tried out a new lens deciding on whether to keep it or not. I threw together this little composition on the dining room table. I'm keeping the lens. I needed it and really didnt have much choice.

G'day mate

Okay - the image shows that the lens works ( :) ) but out of curiousity - what was your evaluation criteria for keeping vs chucking?

Hell Ozzie, I dont toss anything away. Storage space and cataloging doesnt take much space or time. Oh, and if you mean the lens, well I broke my 78-300mm zoom so I need another one. I took a series of pics this day and I liked the ease of use and the image quality that went along with the price of $500. I could have gone a more expensive route, but what was the point. Im not making any money on anything I shoot. Its only for my pleasure and Im satisfied with the quality. Just not with the subject matter in most cases.

It would look great with an Arizona desert sunset scene in the background in place of the black. Still, nicely arranged.

Hey Walter. I dont know why I didnt think of that. The shot was on my dining room table with the lights out and just one light to shine on the subject. I will rework this shot and include Monument Valley in the background. Thanks.
