I thought about this old thread when capturing some screens from my desktop yesterday.

Right this minute, I'm using a Community Remaster of Mepis 8.0 by Danum, with KDE 4.2.4 installed, along with a number of graphics applications (as you can see from the Graphics menu choices in this screen capture), including the latest Preview of Bibble Pro 5 (available for Windows, Mac and Linux). Basically, I've updated to the latest Debian Sid software repositories to get newer versions of applications like digiKam. In addition to this remaster with KDE 4.2.4, I also have 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Mepis 8 installed with the default KDE 3.5.10 desktop, along with Microsoft Vista and a few other Linux distros). Most of the time, I stick with the default wallpaper (and I think the latest Mepis wallpaper looks great).

I ran into this older thread and thought it was kind of fun. There are a lot of great photos people are using for their wallpapers. Right now I have a pic from a local stream where I like to go wading and shooting.

Here is my current Desktop wallpaper. I took this photo a few years back. It was a magic moment that I never expected would turn out this well.

Currently in use. I tend to change the wallpaper every few weeks/months.
