Default Do not go gentle...

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

This is a ceiling light in the home of my uncle, now disabled and unable to care for himself.

It is also a home where I spent some of my early childhood.

Lots of good memories there.

The house will change hands next week.

The mind of my uncle is still pretty good but it his body after a lifetime of work with his hands which has "played out".

They broke the mold when they built my uncle, a craftsman from a
bygone era.

Thanks, all of you, for the gift of your time as you read these words, as I pay homage to a stalwart, quiet man of unshakeable integrity.

Very Poetic. I spotted the context of the photo before reading the text :-)

Some interior details immediatly spring memories, you picked the right one.

Touching commentary -- beautiful photo.

Your uncle's light shines brightly indeed.

Your words are eloquent in their simplicity,
as is your photography.
