I can't say my work fits in the same category of quality as everyone else's here, but I figured I'd post my best anyway. Mark, your work is absolutely stunning! jgredline, the stories behind your shots are as beautiful as the shots themselves. Nice captures!

1. A lily at a local park, after the sprinklers had run their course.
2. A sycamore on a spring morning.
3. Pseudo-HDR from Sea World
4. My sister - unposed, candid
5. Local park.

rhermans, the Michael Bublé is pretty sweet!! What did you shoot that with?

Jonathan, I'm glad you joined in, your 2nd shot is very cool perspective, I like the feel.

To everyone in general, again I will say this is shaping up to be great. It's wonderful that we have new people playing the game with us. I also encourage you to all be shooting as you never know when the next thread will come out Don't panic though it won't be for a little while yet, the first time around I got a bit too excited by the success LOL.

This is an amazing thread ! So many fantastic shots that make a (wo)man's jaw drop.

I've only had my first DSLR (Pentax K7) for 8 months so I don't have a huge catalogue to pick from so I've included two shots taken when scuba diving (those were taken with a 3 MP Oly ... the 3040) !

1. Taken yesterday, Qi Bao Ancient Water Town - Shanghai.

2. My passion ..... dragons & damsels !

3. Another Dragon.

4. Mating Mandarin Fish - Kapulai, Borneo. With the Oly 3040. I waited 90 mins underwater at just 3 metres to get this shot ! These little fish (max length 6cm or about 2 ins) have a spectacular mating ritual, once paired they shoot upwards for up to a metre, at the same time spraying sperm and eggs into the current, to be carried away over the reef, before disappearing in a flash of colour. Notice the detritus floating in the water !

5. Frogfish Orgy (they are usually solitary fish and only come together when mating) - on a strong current drift dive at Layang Layang island (miles out in the middle of nowhere, 2 miles straight down) this was taken at 40M (about 130 ft) finning like crazy to avoid being swept away ! It was very dark, so dark I didn't notice there were actually 4 frogfish together until I was leaving ... with precious little oxygen remaining !

Finally had time to view all the magnificent submissions, some real great work here.

Thanks Mark, that Bublé picture was taken with a pana fz5, bought the camera 5 years ago, still works like a charm and its small enough to smuggle into a concert. This was taken at max. zoom.

Thanks Mark for letting us all post another series of 5. I'm coming in quite late in the game here so I've had the pleasure of viewing all the talent that's jumped in! Nice show for us all.

I just came back from holidays which took me to the wonderful and spectacular Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada located 6 or so hours north west of Calgary. There is just so much beauty to see and taking it all in would require an extra week for sure......oh well, there's something to look forward too!

Here's my 3 favourites from the trip plus one from my aerial photography job and one I posted earlier in the landscape forum.
