Default A few snapshots of Winter Carnival 2004 @ MTU

On my way home, I took a few snapshots of the Winter Carnival 2004 at my university. Winter Carnival is a major, annual event in this small university town. It was near the end of a 2-hour window of (not very stable) sun shine. As you can see, color temperature is very difficult to get it it right. I really did not have time to WB preset for every image. So, color balance/tonality may be a little off. All images were resized, leveled and curved a little, and sharpened for web use.

This is the winer of this year. This is one side of the view:

This one shows the "interior:"

Another view of the interior:

A close-up of the front table:

This is a guy sitting near the edge of the scene:

This one is not part of the winer. But, it is interesting.

If weather permits (but unlikely as we have had 20+ snowing, blowing snow, and grey sky days), hope I will have more to show you. Camera carried (with my buddy) were D100, A1, 5700 and SQ. Bad news (I have learned it almost every year) is that the 5700 and SQ hunt so frequently that made us just put it back to our camera bags.

Taking white-on-white photos is almost as difficult as those that are black-on-black. I think you did a fine job. As for white balance, that's easily corrected in your software.
