Four shots of a souvenir of Venice.
Overview : Front : Side : Side Closeup : Before Shooting : - All of the shots have been taken with a flash. - In most of them I have underexposed by -0,7/-1EV to avoid white burning. - The last ones have been taken in Macro Mode. - Next time I'll try to shoot with the mask standing far away from the wall : the shadow below the chin is not that cool indeed. P.S: - rotation - cropping - automatic levels - automatic contrast - unsharp mask - dodge tool brush on black parts - some saturation tool brush on some parts in the last ones. The "original painting defects" have been left untouched. |

Sergio,
#1 gets my vote in large part becasue the ey and brain leaps to fill in a body below the mask. The Gestalt is quite efefctive. |

I agree with Selvin on the first shot, though for me, it's because of its startling contrast. Then there's the third shot--its composition seems perfect.

I'm with Selvin too. #1 is clean, crisp and nice.

I really like the fourth shot, I think it gets straight to the point that grabs my interest, the eye while giving us just enough of the great colors in the feathers.
Take care, Jeff |
