![]() This is a WWII security photo from my Dad's aviation welder's certification. I like what I've done so far. (UH-OH maybe I shouldn't have said that) but can't get his right ear...Right. (Left side of picture) I do NOT use PS. I have Corel Photo Paint and so far I've been able to figure out what is done in PS and do it in Corel. It is in layers and I might put Dadback over the old pictureto give to family members. The scanned image is1492 X 1495pixels I know this is a little different for here but I love this picture and feel a true need to restore it. I have another but one thing at a time. Any thoughts? He really did have two ears. No really. dale |

Good job cleaning up the foreground. I trust you are working on a hi-res copy of the photo!
If it were me, I would leave the original background with all the weathering except cleaning up the spots like you did in the foreground. Even the staples hint of a story though is would be worthwhile to have a version with just the staples removed. just my 2¢ David |

You are likely to get a better and faster response by posting in the Extreme Makeover forum. There are some really talented people who frequent that one. I do too. If you have a larger versin of the photo, that would help.
