[align=center][align=left]Hello all. I am learning to tweak photos and thought I would get some feedback from you on this one. I will show the original and the pp version. I used PS first in adjusting the white balance and then took it to Neat Image to filter and slightly sharpen and then back to PS to work on the curves. I think I raised the red a bit..don't quite remember. What would you do?

Can't comment on the fine details as I am still a beginner but I think you did a super job between #1 and #2.

You really improved on #2. I almost always use levels, contrast and sharpening to some degree. I also got photoshop for dummies, it was a big help, though layers isn't second nature yet. Donna

Thanks both!
I take it, Donna, that you don't see room for improvement? I kinda wish I could get a sky just a bit richer...that is just me and someone mentioned using a transparent layer with a gradation from dark to light adjust the sky area. Haven't tried it yet but am curious. |

I actually thought about a "richer sky'... I would probably use the magic wand or your tool of choice and make a selection, and play around in levels, add a blue hue, etc. something to give the lookof having used a polarizer. Donna

Beth, Tried a few things with your second image, even though yours looked good as it was! Jim

Wow, you really brought those colors out and you created a reflection...interesting. I think I can imagine how you did that, the reflection that is but do share if you have time. I am still learning PS CS and hope to really dig into it this winter after I gather some nuts. :G

Beth, PS CS2 has many tools and means to obtain the results I did. I used Shadow / Highlights, Layers, Adjustment Layers, and Hue Saturation. Hope that helps some! Jim
