It was a lovely warm (as opposed to stifling) summer day yesterday (Friday) at the office, so it was off to the park to partake of my ham and salad sandwich and a mango.

My favourite spot on a warm sunny day is under an oak in the Fitzroy gardens a mere stroll from the hustle and bustle of the city

Unfortunately, someone had beaten me to it.

I just had to make do with my fallback spot, across the road in the Treasury gardens. Just what one needs before the final stretch on a Friday afternoon.

Number 2 picture is my favorite gives the feel it should be with some poem about life. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Rafael. A very nice looking oak to be sure. Also like the serenity of #2. It is easy to see why you like to enjoy lunch under the oaks. It is a very common practice here. Baton Rouge and the LSU campus, both have an abundance of beautiful large oaks. People can be seen everywhere enjoying the relaxing atmosphere that just seems to flow from the oaks themselves.

Thanks. It is nice to see green trees. We live under a large oak, but it is rather stark at present.

That's my kind of tree, love it. Very nice use of shadows and lithe in your shots.
