Very impressed macros! How did you do it? Just with the camera without attached macro lenses?

Dunno, hate to "rate" them but I think this series are your most remarkable. Serious, series. Although I like them all - and the mosquito head is simply amazing, I like the spider chilln' on the flower the best of all.

Didn't quite get your last comment. Are you disappearing for a while?

Fairley simple to tell, female mosquitoes are small and are the ones that bite/drink blood. They don't actually eat the blood, they need a drop to get protean for reproduction.

The male's are huge by comparison, several times the size of the female and are vegetarians.

Thanks as always folks, far too kind in here. Great bunch for sure.

Nick, not going anywhere M8t, just have trouble getting the phone line off my brother while hes here, Hes another internet freak like me. So I'll post and comment when I can. :-)

Peter got it right with the male mosi. The females are the only ones that drink blood or bite, the males don't. The females always have a red body on top where they store the blood. So thats the difference there.

Used a Canon 100mm in front of the FZ10 except for the mosi head where a Canon 35-70mm was used at the 50mm setting.

Thanks again folks and I'll comment as much as I can..........then normal when he leaves :-)
