Thank you so much for your comment Gazza!
Yes Mt Fuji is changes from moment to moment - quite magical.
I am not surprised Hokusai did so many views of it!
My favourite moment is when it turns red (as in one of the famous Hokusai prints) but this time I was there at the wrong time of year I guess..the light was not right.
I have been to Taisekiji many times (because I am a Buddhist and it is my Head Temple - and no, I am not japanese!)and in winter the sky is the deepest blue unlike in April when it is much lighter.
The autumn colours there are fantastic too...if I can afford it I will visit next November....this time i just caught the very tail end of cherry blossoms. Most were gone sadly as it is a famous location because of its thousands of cherry trees. But still I caught a few of them :-)

Thanks pappy;
The koi carp were the hardest thing....
I have seen some nice pics here of them (Suzy for instance) and wonder how they did it!?
Soon as you frame the shot they have swam somewhere else! :sad:

I tell ya, you all go to the coolest places. I gotta get out of Florida every once in a while:lol:

Wow, the first pic is superb, subject is really sharp and nice Bokeh (which is in japanese, hehe) in the temple. I guess you could use a PL for the waterfall shot to enhance the koi. Mmm, now I want to go to Japan!!!

I went to Japan last year in October and the leaves were barely turning that awesome red. But I didn't even know about FZ's at that time and only got my Canon SD100 which turned in really blurry photos. (No tripods allowed in many places in Nara and Kyoto) and it was cloudy so figure it out. I hope that someone makes it on November and bring us awesome autumn shots from Japan!
