reading the "E-Book - Photography - 123di v3" I understand that after a few mounts of usage is VERY possible a dead pixel to occure into the CCD. Becaus I am a new owner of FZ20 does any more expirensed user of FZ found a dead pixel on its CCD.
sorry for my bad english |

if a dead pixel occurs on the CCD itself (the sensor), you're very unlikely to even know it. the pixels are so tiny that a dead one, out of 5 million, wouldn't even be noticeable. if it occurs on the LCD or EVF, you might be able to see it, though.
i've had my FZ20 for over a year, and have seen no evidence of dead pixels anywhere. |

10x squirl for your answer
but if a dead pixel occures on the CCD it will affect the surounding pixels too (a square of 3x3 or a larger) becaus of the image processing. But knowing that you have not found "strange" areas in your excelent photos (after 1 year of usage) makes me happy. sorry for my bad english. |
