While browsing for accessories this morning I came across underwater camera housings that fit the Pana range - with or without external flash.
Although they seem a bit pricey, I suppose it's not much compared to the cost of some memories captured on an expensive caribbean vacation. Just thought I would post the link incase someone has that dream vacation coming up  http://www.ewa-marine.com/english/index.htm The site includes a camera cross reference list to tell you what version to purchase for your model camera and also info on dealers in the US / UK (they are made in Germany) |

There is one for sale (not sure on size) on Ebay. It says 35mm cameras, but I know after reading on the site there are different sizes, guess for the lens area.
I was interested in a rain cape, but then again I can use an old poncho and some duct tape. Time to turn into a Red Green (only Canadians should get this!) ![]() |

If you read his post... The housing is a EWA marine UA-X housing that I got second hand off ebay (far too expensive new). So I'd have to say its from the same firm just second-hand... |

The only cases that will fit the FZ10, 20, 30 are the U-A, U-AX, and U-AXP. I have the U-AX as it allows me to use the flash but you dont really need an extrenal flash with good conditions.
The cases work well, I have used mine a dozen or so times and without a problem but I have been very very careful. If there is a single hair/grain of sand on the sealing point then It will leak. They are very expensive and the camera is pretty hard to use underwater but it is fun. Dont expect amazing photos with it but expect a lot of fun. The photo is taken with the FZ10 and U-AX Treemonkey |

Thank you!
BTW, just about how much is "very expensive"? |

I paid ~$150 US for a 2nd hand one via ebay (UAX) but new they are ~$250-300 US, for the UAXP over $300. To me that is a lot of money for something that is quite difficult to use as it has been designed for a D-SLR not the FZ series. I used a Canon 20D with my case and that was a lot nicer to use than the FZ10.
Of course there is the risk that these cases will leak, they are less reliable than a proper underwater housing. I am just a little hesitant to recommend using these cases as while I think it was fun to use, others may not be as forgiving when it comes to ease of use. Treemonkey |

You've got me thinking now Treemonkey - perhaps an inexpensive underwater film camera might be a better choice for the occasional underwater photog like i would be. :?

Jose,
Most camera shops sell them and I should think you could also find them on Ebay. Here is a link to BH Photo's selection: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...;Q=&ci=944 |
