Hi All
I'm in the process of buying a Tele converter lens, I'veseen postson this forum that the Olympus TCON-17 is good, How does it compare to the Panasonic DMW LT55? I have also been looking at the Sony VCL-DH1758 (only because it's silver and I have a silver FZ30) how does the Sony compare to the other two? Your comments would be greatly appreciated.:? I'm looking at cost aswell performance and can I get away with a Linear Polarizing Filter Thanks Lello |

Hi Roy
Thanks for your comment, I think for the price I will go with the TCON-17. Have you any photo's taken with the lens that I could look at? Thanks Lello |

The lens is on CKs site but dollar for dollar the tcon17 is hard to beat.

I checked out the tele market and would say you can't really go wrong with the tcon 17...although I bought the Panasonic one, and I am happy with it, I reckon for the money vs results, the 17 is a wiser choice. I chose the Panasonic simply because I love the FZ 30 and shelled out some extra bucks to show my approval of their results...with my supporting $$. There are many here who will point you to the 17 and the voiced opinions here are usually right on the money.

Lello,
To respond to your second question... yes, all you need is the linear polarizing filter. A circular polarizer will work, but it costs more and some here feel that the linear polarizer actually works better than the circular on the Panasonic models. |

I found the best price out of 13 comparisons is that from Camera Depot at £72.53 including postage. I've just bought one. http://tinyurl.com/8cezj |
